The fervor of literacy and learning reached a crescendo in the Bekwai Municipality as the Otumfour Community Reading Challenge drew to a close with an exciting award ceremony.
On Wednesday, April 17th, 2024, a significant milestone was marked in Bekwai, Ghana, as the Member of Parliament for the Bekwai Constituency, Hon. Joseph Osei Owusu, led the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a hostel facility.

The Municipal Assembly is the highest political and administrative body of the Municipal and exercises deliberative, legislative and executive functions. The Municipality was established under Legislative Instrument (L.I. 1906, 2007).
