The event brought together the Municipal Chief Executive of the Bekwai Municipal Assembly, Hon. Salifu Issaka, the Municipal Director of Education, Mrs. Leticia Obeng, staff of the Education Directorate, and learners from various basic schools in the municipality.

The programme formed part of the Directorate’s continuous efforts to educate adolescent girls on proper menstrual hygiene management, reduce stigma, and promote healthy practices in schools.

In an address, the Municipal Director of Education, Mrs. Leticia Obeng, highlighted the importance of menstrual hygiene education in improving school attendance, confidence, and academic performance among girls. She urged stakeholders, including teachers and parents, to support girls with accurate information and the necessary resources to manage menstruation safely and with dignity.
