The leadership of the Council of Churches has paid a courtesy call on the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the Bekwai Municipal Assembly at his office in Bekwai.

The visit formed part of efforts by the religious body to strengthen collaboration with the Assembly and discuss issues of mutual interest, including community development, peacebuilding, and social welfare within the municipality.

During the meeting, the MCE, Hon. Salifu Issaka, welcomed the delegation and expressed appreciation for their visit. He commended the church for its continuous role in promoting moral values, unity, and development in society.

He assured the leadership of the Council of Churches of the Assembly’s openness to partnership with religious institutions in advancing development initiatives and addressing community challenges across the municipality.

The delegation also expressed their readiness to support the Assembly through prayers, advocacy, and collaboration on initiatives that promote peace and development in the Bekwai Municipality.

The visit ended on a cordial note with a shared commitment to strengthening cooperation between the Council of Churches and the Bekwai Municipal Assembly for the benefit of residents.
