The Bekwai Municipal Assembly held its General Assembly Meeting on Wednesday, 25th February 2026, at the Assembly Hall in Bekwai. The meeting was convened to deliberate on two principal agenda items: the election of a Presiding Member and the creation of Sub-Committees of the Assembly.

The Bekwai Municipal Assembly marked the 41st edition of Farmers Day at Ofoase Kokoben under the national theme: “Eat Ghana, Grow Ghana, Secure the Future.”

The Municipal Assembly is the highest political and administrative body of the Municipal and exercises deliberative, legislative and executive functions. The Municipality was established under Legislative Instrument (L.I. 1906, 2007).
