The Bekwai Municipal Assembly today held a Zonal Council Meeting for the Dadease, Adudwan, Asuodankran, Adagya and Kokofu Zonal Councils as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen local governance and deepen grassroots participation in the municipality's development agenda.
The meeting brought together key officials of the Assembly, including the Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Petro Philemon Ankorle; the Deputy Director, Mr. Joseph Kwabena Obeng; and the Municipal Budget Analyst, Ms. Mavis Addo. Also in attendance were Assembly Members and Unit Committee Members from the participating Zonal Councils.
The meeting served as a platform to discuss matters relating to local governance, revenue mobilization, community development, and the effective operation of the Zonal Councils and Unit Committees. Participants were taken through their roles and responsibilities in promoting development and ensuring efficient service delivery at the community level.
Discussions also focused on strengthening collaboration among local governance structures to enhance development planning, improve revenue generation, and address challenges confronting communities within the municipality.
Participants were encouraged to remain committed to their responsibilities and work closely with the Assembly to facilitate the successful implementation of development programmes and projects in their respective areas.
