The Bekwai Municipal Education Directorate has benefited from a National Teaching Council (NTC) workshop aimed at strengthening the capacity of teachers in the teaching of Career Technology and Creative Arts.

The training, organized by Creative Educational Consult, a service provider, was held from 16th to 19th March 2026 and targeted subject teachers within the municipality. The workshop was conducted in cohorts to ensure effective participation and engagement.

The initiative was organized in response to challenges identified among teachers in effectively teaching Career Technology and Creative Arts, which are important subjects within the pre-tertiary education curriculum.

During the workshop, participants were equipped with appropriate pedagogical skills, innovative teaching strategies, and practical techniques to enhance the delivery of lessons in the two subject areas. The training also covered creative components, including music and other practical aspects aimed at making teaching and learning more effective.

A total of three hundred and eighty-six (386) teachers benefited from the training programme.

The Bekwai Municipal Education Directorate expressed appreciation to the National Teaching Council and Creative Educational Consult for the initiative and encouraged teachers to apply the knowledge and skills acquired to improve classroom instruction and learner outcomes.
