BEKWAI MUNICIPAL EDUCATION DIRECTORATE HOLDS MEETING WITH BASIC SCHOOL HEADTEACHERS

The Ghana Education Service through the Bekwai Municipal Education Directorate, on Monday, 12th January 2026, held a meeting with headteachers of Basic Schools in the municipality to deliberate on strategies for improving the quality of education delivery.

The meeting brought together one hundred and forty-one (141) headteachers from public basic schools and nineteen (19) staff of the Municipal Education Directorate.

The engagement served as a platform for school heads and education managers to discuss key issues affecting teaching and learning, review academic performance, and develop practical strategies aimed at enhancing quality education across the municipality.

Participants also deliberated on school management, effective instructional leadership, learner performance, teacher professionalism, and the implementation of policies and programmes designed to improve educational outcomes.

The Municipal Education Directorate encouraged headteachers to strengthen supervision, promote discipline, and foster collaboration among teachers, parents, and communities to create conducive learning environments for pupils.
