The Girls in ICT Programme aims to equip basic school girls with digital skills to prepare them for future career opportunities in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields.

From 4th to 7th November, 2024, twenty-five (25) girls were selected and trained at Bekwai SDA Senior High School. On the final day of the training, a test was conducted, and three students from Bekwai R/C Model Girls Junior High School—Akosua Osei Anima, Nana Adwoa Oteng Sarpomaa, and Adwoa Agyekumwaa Marfo—qualified to advance to the next stage of the programme.

The trio proceeded to Bosomtwe Girls STEM Senior High School on 8th November, 2024, for a practical competition. Following this, they attended a two-day Mentorship and Climax event at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) from 18th to 19th November, 2024.

Out of one thousand (1,000) participants in the Ashanti Region, two girls from Bekwai—Akosua Osei Anima and Nana Adwoa Oteng Sarpomaa—emerged among the top one hundred (100) awardees, showcasing exceptional performance and potential in ICT and STEM-related activities.
