The Bekwai Municipal Assembly marked the 41st edition of Farmers Day at Ofoase Kokoben under the national theme: “Eat Ghana, Grow Ghana, Secure the Future.”
The event was attended by the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Issaka Salifu, the Municipal Coordinating Director, Ms. Sheila Rosetta Arthur, traditional leaders, religious leaders, and heads of departments and institutions across the Bekwai Municipality.
Hon. Issaka Salifu delivered a speech highlighting the vital role of farmers in local and national development and encouraging innovative and sustainable farming practices.
During the celebration, the District Best Farmer award was presented to recognize outstanding performance and dedication in farming.
The event underscored the Assembly’s commitment to promoting sustainable agriculture, supporting farmers, and encouraging local production for national growth.
