The Bekwai Municipal Assembly on Wednesday, 1st July 2026, joined the rest of the nation in observing the National Thanksgiving and Prayer Service at the Assembly Hall.
The event was led by the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Salifu Issaka, and brought together government officials, religious leaders, Assembly staff, and other stakeholders to offer prayers of thanksgiving for God's continued blessings, peace, and guidance for the Bekwai Municipality and the nation.
The interdenominational service provided an opportunity for participants to reflect on the importance of faith, unity, and national development while committing the municipality and the country into God's hands.
Addressing participants, Hon. Salifu Issaka underscored the significance of thanksgiving and prayer in fostering peace, harmony, and progress. He called on residents to continue working together in unity to support the municipality's development agenda and contribute meaningfully to national growth.
The Assembly also expressed gratitude to the religious community and all participants for their prayers and unwavering support for the peace and development of the municipality.
