Bekwai, Ashanti Region – Wednesday, 11th June 2025 - As the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) commenced nationwide, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Bekwai, Hon. Salifu Issaka, paid a working visit to several examination centres within the municipality, including the Bekwai SDA Senior High School centre.
The MCE was accompanied by the Municipal Coordinating Director (MCD), Ms. Sheila Rosetta Arthur, the Municipal Education Director (MED), Mrs. Liticia Obeng, as well as some staff from the Bekwai Municipal Assembly.
During the visit, the delegation interacted with candidates and invigilators, offering words of encouragement and support to the students. Hon. Salifu Issaka urged the candidates to remain calm, confident, and focused, emphasizing the importance of the BECE as a stepping stone in their academic journey.
Ms. Arthur, the MCD, reiterated the Assembly's commitment to supporting quality education in the municipality, while Mrs. Obeng, the Education Director, expressed confidence in the preparedness of the candidates and the smooth conduct of the exams.
The visit formed part of efforts by the Assembly and the Education Directorate to ensure a peaceful and successful examination period for all candidates in the municipality.
