The Bekwai Municipal Assembly commemorated Ghana's Independence Day with a colourful and well-attended ceremony at Gyamfi's Park on Friday, 6th March 2026.

In a bid to promote cleanliness and environmental hygiene, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Bekwai, Hon. Issaka Salifu, led the Bekwai Municipal Assembly in the National Sanitation Day exercise held on Saturday, 7th March 2026.

The Bekwai Municipal Assembly held its General Assembly Meeting on Wednesday, 25th February 2026, at the Assembly Hall in Bekwai. The meeting was convened to deliberate on two principal agenda items: the election of a Presiding Member and the creation of Sub-Committees of the Assembly.
