The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) has inspected the progress of ongoing works for the installation of water treatment equipment in the Bekwai Township.

The project, being undertaken through a joint initiative between the Bekwai Municipal Assembly and the Community Water and Sanitation Agency (CWSA), is expected to significantly improve access to safe and reliable drinking water for residents of Bekwai and surrounding communities.

During the inspection, the MCE assessed the progress of work and emphasised the importance of completing the project to ensure that residents benefit from an improved and sustainable water supply system.

The Assembly remains committed to supporting initiatives aimed at improving essential services and enhancing the well-being of residents. The project forms part of broader efforts to expand access to clean and reliable water in the municipality.

The Assembly also reaffirmed its support for President John Dramani Mahama’s initiative to expand access to cleaner and more reliable water supply systems across the country.
