The Management of the Bekwai Municipal Assembly on Tuesday, 14th July 2026, held a management meeting at the Assembly's Conference Room to discuss the Assembly's preparedness towards the 2026 Performance Contract (PC) assessment.
The meeting brought together the Municipal Coordinating Director (MCD), Heads of Departments, and other management staff to review the Assembly's level of preparedness and ensure compliance with the various indicators outlined in the Performance Contract.
In his opening remarks, the Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Petro Philemon Ankorle, welcomed participants and provided a background to the Performance Contract, emphasizing its importance as a key performance management tool for assessing the efficiency and effectiveness of Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Assemblies (MMDAs).
Mr. Ankorle urged Heads of Departments to demonstrate commitment by ensuring that all relevant documentation and evidence required for the assessment were readily available and accurately presented.
Heads of Departments subsequently took turns to respond to the various Performance Contract indicators relating to their respective departments, providing updates on achievements, challenges, and the level of compliance with the assessment requirements.
The discussions also afforded management the opportunity to identify gaps requiring immediate attention and to agree on measures to strengthen the Assembly's readiness ahead of the assessment exercise.
