The Bekwai Municipal Education Directorate from Monday, 20th to Thursday, 23rd April 2026, organized a training workshop for selected Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) teachers in the municipality.

The training brought together thirty-two (32) Mathematics and Science teachers from sixteen (16) Basic STEM schools across the municipality. The workshop was organized to equip teachers with the necessary skills to effectively use science kits and tools supplied to the schools to enhance the teaching and learning of Science and Mathematics.

During the training, participants were taken through practical sessions on the effective utilization of the science equipment and innovative teaching approaches aimed at making STEM education more engaging and impactful for learners.

The teachers were also introduced to robotics education as part of efforts to broaden their knowledge and strengthen their capacity to deliver modern STEM lessons that promote creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills among pupils.

The workshop forms part of the Directorate’s commitment to improving Science and Mathematics education and building the capacity of teachers to effectively implement STEM programmes in basic schools across the Bekwai Municipality.
