The Bekwai Municipal Assembly has successfully convened its Second Ordinary General Assembly Meeting on Thursday, 22nd October, 2026 at the Municipal Assembly Hall in Bekwai to deliberate on key budgetary frameworks and community development strategies for the upcoming year.
The sitting brought together key stakeholders from across the municipality, including Honorable Assembly Members, Departmental Heads, and representatives from various public institutions and state agencies.
A central focus of the deliberations was the consideration and approval of critical financial and planning instruments designed to steer local governance in 2027. Assembly members discussed and approved the 2027 Fee-fixing Resolution, the 2027 Annual Action Plan, and the 2027 Composite Budget, establishing the operational and financial roadmap for the municipality's development projects and public services.
In addition to planning for the future, the Assembly reviewed administrative performance and governance accountability. The Honorable Municipal Chief Executive presented the Executive Committee Report, which was extensively discussed alongside updates from the Public Relations and Complaints Committee. Assembly members also examined the Auditor General’s Report for 2025 to ensure continued fiscal oversight and transparent management of public resources.
The session concluded with closing remarks from the Presiding Member, who commended members for their dedication to advancing the development agenda of Bekwai.
