BEKWAI R/C STUDENTS AND STAFF PAY COURTESY VISIT TO MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY AS PART OF CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WEEK CELEBRATION

Bekwai, Tuesday, January 28, 2025 — As part of the annual Catholic Schools Week Celebration, students and staff of Bekwai Roman Catholic (R/C) Basic School held a float through the streets of Bekwai and converged at the Bekwai Municipal Assembly premises in a vibrant display of unity and school spirit.

The procession, which was characterized by singing, drumming, placards with moral messages, and patriotic chants, marked one of the key activities in the week-long celebration themed around education, discipline, and moral upbringing in Catholic schools.

Upon arrival at the Assembly, the students and staff were warmly received by the Municipal Coordinating Director (MCD), Ms. Sheila Rosetta Arthur, along with some heads of departments and staff of the Bekwai Municipal Assembly. Ms. Arthur, in her welcome address, commended the school for its discipline and commitment to holistic education. She encouraged the students to take their studies seriously and become responsible citizens.

The Catholic Schools Week Celebration, which commenced on Sunday, January 26 and is expected to end on Saturday, February 1, 2025, includes various activities such as worship services, clean-up exercises, academic competitions, and community engagement projects.
