Bekwai, Ashanti Region – May 21, 2025 - The newly confirmed Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Bekwai Hon. Issaka Salifu has held his first official meeting with the entire staff of the Bekwai Municipal Assembly on Wednesday, 21st May, 2025 at the Assembly Hall. The meeting served as a platform for familiarization, team building, and strategic dialogue as the MCE formally began his tenure.
In his address, the MCE expressed appreciation to the staff for their dedicated service to the municipality and called for their unwavering support and cooperation as he takes over the leadership mantle. He emphasized the importance of unity, discipline, and professionalism in achieving the developmental goals of the Assembly.
Outlining his vision, the MCE highlighted key focus areas including improving revenue mobilization, enhancing sanitation and infrastructure, deepening community engagement, and strengthening transparency and accountability in service delivery.
He also encouraged open communication, innovation, and a results-oriented approach from all departments, stressing that the success of the Assembly depends on collective effort and commitment from every staff member.
The Municipal Coordinating Director (MCD) of the Assembly, Ms. Sheila Rosetta Arthur in her remarks, welcomed the MCE and pledged the staff's readiness to work with him to advance the development agenda of the municipality.
Staff members present appreciated the MCE’s proactive approach and used the opportunity to share their views, expectations, and suggestions for improving operations within the Assembly.
