In a bid to address the pressing issues of child neglect and abandonment within the Bekwai Municipal Assembly (BMA), the Department of Social Welfare and Community Development (SWCD) organized an educational seminar on Monday, November 13, 2023, at Poano. The event was meticulously facilitated by a team of experienced officers from the SWCD, including Emmanuel Adusei, Evans Owusu Addai, Elizabeth Afia Pokua, Emmanuel Agyare, and Ruth Adutwumwaa.

The seminar was aimed at raising awareness among community members regarding the detrimental effects of child neglect and abandonment, and also to provide guidance on preventive measures and support services available to families and individuals in need.
