Bekwai, Ashanti Region – May 21, 2025 - The newly confirmed Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Bekwai, Hon Issaka Issaka on Wednesday, 21st May, 2025, held his first official meeting with Heads of Units, Departments, Institutions, and Agencies operating within the municipality. The meeting, held at the Bekwai Municipal Assembly Hall, also saw the attendance of the Member of Parliament (MP) for Bekwai Constituency.
The purpose of the meeting was to formally introduce the MCE to the various heads, foster collaboration, and outline the leadership’s vision for development and effective service delivery within the municipality.
In his address, the MCE expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome and commended the heads of departments and agencies for their dedication to public service. He called for strong inter-agency cooperation, professionalism, and open communication to drive the municipality’s development agenda forward.
He stressed the importance of teamwork and encouraged the heads to see themselves as key stakeholders in the growth of Bekwai, noting that their collective efforts would be crucial in achieving set targets in areas such as education, health, sanitation, revenue generation, and infrastructure.
The MP for Bekwai, who also addressed the gathering, urged the various institutions to support the new MCE in his role and reaffirmed his commitment to working closely with both the Assembly and the departments to bring more development projects to the area.
The Municipal Coordinating Director also welcomed the MCE officially and charged the heads to be proactive in their duties and maintain regular engagement with the Assembly’s leadership.
Heads of departments took turns to introduce themselves and their roles, and many expressed optimism about deepening collaboration under the new leadership.
